Well, I finally managed to get Webalizer working too... It turned out
that I was missing the libgd-devel stuff which seemed obvious, but
there was no mention of it anywhere for my distribution, but after a
quick search for gd-devel I found it... installed it... then everything
compiled fine...

Again, the stats look very odd... It went from an average of about 240
"hits" per day up to 3991 "hits" on a single day... wasn't expecting
that, but perhaps it's true :)...

I might give awstats a try now too -- might as well try them all now...

On 1/31/06, Darren Parkinson <darren.parkinson@gmail.com

That's what the question was for really. I wondered whether
the advertisement had made a difference to the traffic. Initial
indications showed that we had an increase in traffic, but it'd be nice
to have accurate figures. I would probably have been ok had it
not been for me trying two different tools.

friend. They have been known to attend the odd meeting ;)

Anyway, thanks everyone for your thoughts. Perhaps I'll have
another try at Webalizer and I've also briefly looked at awstats too...
