there's no shortage of evidence but our law makers are above the law

if you steal money from the taxpayer and you have nothing, you go to
goal. if you steal money from the taxpayer and you're an MP, you get a
payoff, a promotion to the lords and a huge pension for life.

if you are a council worker on a low wage and you take money to change
a decision, you go to goal. if you're a top civil servant you get a
huge pension.

that's how it works

<shrug>
there's nothing worthwhile that can be done to change the system from within it

but it's ok 'cos New Labour are going to be thrown out. at least with
the New Tories, we're more likely to get sexual corruption which are
always more fun than the sad old financial kind.
