Blimey, this list is getting a bit of a workout...

Bradford CVS are looking to gather support to help them in their
negotiations for this years budget - this could directly impact on our
ability to hire our meeting room!

Please read the below and if you have comments, either post to the list
and I'll collate them, or send them directly to me, or to Rob - email
below. (If posting directly to Rob, be sure to let him know that you
attend 'The Bradford Linux User Group')

To our meeting room users

Currently Bradford Council are setting their budgets for the financial
year 2011-12. As you are no doubt all aware they are going to be making
cuts in funding across a range of services. Much of Bradford CVS funding
is made up of funding from the Council and we are in no doubt that the
spending cuts will probably affect us and the range of services that we
provide. One of the services provided is the provision of meeting rooms
at a less than commercial rate for community and voluntary group use. In
light of this we are going to be presenting a dossier to the Council
highlighting the groups which we work with and support within the
Bradford District. 

To strengthen this dossier I would like to invite our users to make
comments on any help which we may have given to your groups and also the
provision of good quality meeting room space here at Bradford CVS. We
intend using this in our dossier to build a case so that hopefully the
spending cuts do not affect the ability to provide services (meeting
rooms) too deeply. Please feel free to make any comments.
