The Pi is on my list of game build targets, ideally I'd prefer to
setup as minimal a system as possible and handle most things myself.

When I say minimal I mean that NaCl is also on my list and you are
pretty much sand boxed out of *everything* there so I'm targeting code
to have almost no dependencies.

All I really need is OpenGL/OpenAL for output and some sort of USB
support for input. Well a file system would also be nice but I can
honestly roll my own, same goes for pretty much everything else.

My main concern is how abstracted we are from the actual graphical
hardware as I know bits and bobs may have proprietary source problems.

I think even a minimal debian or fedora install is probably overkill
and I'm hoping to be able to come up with something much simpler than
that when I get my hands on a device. Sure I May have to start with a
minimal install but I plan on trying to rip as much out as possible.

The point is to keep it simple after all. (Yeah I'm used to working on
games consoles, can you tell?)

So I'm personally very interested in the Pi as a target I think it has
enough ooomph to do some interesting things, certainly more oomph than
many platforms I have worked on over the years...
