<div dir="ltr"><div style>Yesterday (Saturday) 11 assorted BradLUG members and friends took a day trip to Bletchley Park and the National Museum of Computing. </div><div><br></div>First of all - BIG BIG thanks to Nick Rhodes for all the hard work he put into the day. Not only did he plan the trip and organise the day's schedule with military precision but he also drove us all there and back!! <div style>
<br></div><div style>There is plenty to see on the Bletchley site whether your interest is more the war aspect or the computing aspect - obviously there's plenty of crossover too. If you're thinking of making the trip yourself, I'd suggest doing it over a couple of days to make sure you get to see everything. </div>
<div style><br></div><div style>The NMoC is staffed mainly by volunteers, so the museum has limited opening times, but they are real enthusiasts. Have a look at their site <a href="http://www.tnmoc.org">www.tnmoc.org</a> and see if there's anyway you can help them out whether it's cold hard cash or a long-lost bit of equipment they need!</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>(Thoughts did turn to starting a northern museum of computing, apparently there's a lot of museum pieces lurking in the cellars, attics and studies of BradLUG members!)</div><div style>
<br></div><div style>Again thanks to Nick for arranging this for us all - a good time was had by all, even the weather was kind as evidenced by the sunburn some of us acquired ;) </div><div style><br></div><div style>Cheers</div>
