<p>I've long had a plan to learn how to use and program a Raspberry
Pi, Arduino or Asus Tinker board for a project I have in mind, but
my main job running my Electrical maintenance business has me tied
in knots most weeks.<br>
I am now looking to sell the business after buying a different
business in a completely different sphere, so we shall see if I
can claw some free time back.</p>
<p>Your plans going forward sound interesting and as much as I love
playing with Linux my main OS has been W10 due to needing (a
stable) Quickbooks for the business. <br>
Agian, with my new business plans I can go back to Linux because
it'll all be web based.</p>
<p>We shall see.</p>

Yes I used (who hates me top posting?) MQTT with the Raspberry PI
on a prototype in 2017. It was pretty cool and I used Node-RED to
program it. A very cool setup which other members maybe interested
in trying.<br>

I always give my PI the best possible SD card so as to shorten the
time it spends writing to it. If the power goes off mid-write then
the system can be screwed.<br>
They are cool but perhaps not the best devices for a finished
product. I toy with reflashing one of those Android MXQ TV boxes
but you know how it is with reflashing stuff, its a different
challenge for every different version of the same box. <br>

With the website I'm really imagining one where each member can
create a section. A bit like how WikiPedia was before Jimmy took
away our ability to edit it.<br>

Perhaps the website should be done as a Joomla, a WiKi
or a Wordpress so that projects can be written up and
contributed to. If everyone adds their bit then we will
have quite a manual for a wide range of projects.<br>
