Mark,
    if you want a simple WYSIWYG html editor try Nvu. Its pretty basic, 
doesn't even do frames yet, but has a reasonably good interface. As far 
as I know its the only Linux web authoring tool of this type  (but I 
could be wrong).

If you want an really good WYSIWYN html editor, try the excellent 
Bluefish editor, its probably already on your distro.

Also look at Screem, its somewhere between the two.
