Hi All,

Apologies for the late reply. I've been suffering from the lurgi ( getting
to close to students I'm sure ). I hope that Friday was a great success
and that those present had a profitable and entertaining evening. I hope
that I can get to the next 'do' as and when.

To matters more topical. Ian Linwood undoubtedly did a wee troll to get a
response regarding 'unified desktops' but a couple of things struck me in
the limited responses we got.

Firstly, the responses were very limited. This could have been due to the
nature of the post but, I suspect that more likely it's either not a topic
that people wished to run with or more likely there's not that may of us in
this group who care. Which brings me to:

There are only a few of us and our needs/wants from Linux are so diverse (
a good thing in itself as it reflects on the product ) that any benefits
from monitoring this group are hopelessly diluted. We always see the same
names posting.

So, how do we make this better? How do we make this LUG better than a beer
night out?

Kind regards,
