Depends on the venue...
Primary is meet & socialise.  If people want to bring stuff then that
can probably be co-ordinated with the organiser - so we don't end up
with too much stuff to play with - or people can list what they have and
people can request stuff to be brought that they'd like to play with.

eg. I have an early release version EMPEG - a 10 year old StrongARM
based linux car stereo (http://www.empeg.com/ )

Asterisk, ZoneMinder, MythTV, etc.
