I'd like to give it a shot. I think Linux is great and have been using it predominantly now for about 2 years. I don't know anybody else who uses Linux for comparison so I don't know how good I am!

I live in Carlisle and have been building and repairing pcs for about twenty years. No it-based qualifications (cost money!), and I prefer the company of computers to people :)
Within a couple of months I'm going to be looking for someone for a
six month, full time, sysadmin contract.

Pay won't be amazing. Work is likely to be majority Linux peppered
with windows server, networking, paperwork, hardware, cabling etc etc
etc i.e. the usual sysadmin stuff.

It would ideally suit an experienced Linux operator (essential), based
in Carlisle (if not then must be mobile), who will hit the ground
running from day one.

It will be advertised generally and on job maillist etc... But I'd
like to give this list first dibs.

If you fancy knowing some more details, then drop me a line...
