Ubuntu's installation if I remember rightly allow you to readjust disk space (such as making the XP partition smaller and freeing up space) and install itself as a dual boot option.<BR>

I've done this painlessly with XP and Vista (since we do have NTFS write support now).<BR>

I would advise you to defrag your disk in XP first and back up data of course just in case the worst happen. Then resize XP and free up some suitable space for Ubuntu - ie 30Gb is decent. (Ubuntu need erm...a few gig's of space, can't remember how much it need but I think about 2 or 3 for itself)<BR>
