Ok, I'm finally back home from the place my mother would have me called Home.
In my intelligence I have managed to get ATI drivers messed up again while I've been gone, so I'll have something to do for a bit.
However, I was thinking about next tuesday when deciding to write this. I was firstly wondering if anything had been planned. Again, I will put the idea forward of more practical demonstrations, rather than just presentations. Like I've said, if anyone can think of anything that they feel I may contribute I am willing to at least help. Anyway, the real reason was to offer you all (and any newbies that people manage to bring along) other distros than Ubuntu ones.
As most people have broadband (yes, I still know a few who don't) everyone can technically get their own, but I already have several distros and loads of CDs/DVDs so if people want I will happily get anything that's not {k,}ubuntu or similar. Currently my list is:

Red Hat 9 (shrike)
Fedora 1 - 6
Mandrake 9.2 (my first distro!)
Mandriva 2005 Limited Edition (never worked out why it was limited)
Suse... something or other (tried to install it, failed, threw in corner)
Archlinux 0.8
Linux from Scratch 6.1.1-4

Slightly different I also have MacOSX 10.4.8 but I haven't tried that one.

As I said, if people want, I will burn off copies of any of the above or any others. After all, it makes sense to only download it once if multiple people want it.
I also expect my girlfriend will post shortly detailing OSs she's able to share as she spent the last week downloading quite a few.

I hope this helps somebody at least
