Hi Guys,

Those of you who are members of the Scottish Linux Mailing list will have
all ready received the post today about Eben Moglen coming to Edinburgh.
Eben Moglen is one of the legal minds behind the original GPL and has been
defending free software for awhile.

He is apparently far from your usual boring stuffy law lecturers, and his
renowned for being very motivation speaker -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eben_Moglen - He has also released a string of
online video's explain his thoughts on GPL v3 so have a google about for
him.

The date for his lecture is on the 26th of June, and the Venue is TBA - I
have contacted one of the gentleman arranging it and asked if he could let
me know when there is some news and how you would go about booking tickets,
i'll post when i get more details, but this is certainly not one to be
missed if you can help it.

Some of his good work includes the setting up of the Software Freedom Law
Centre which clients include the Free Software Foundation (Pro Bono of
course).

so like i say, when we find out, hopeful we can get a few of us down.

Cheers

Arron
