Hi Guys,

Our .Net User Group is having a talk this week on holding geo spacial
data in the database and how to query that data. Although this is an MS
focused talk (Sql Server 2008) I thought some of you guys might be
interested in coming along as, although its only SQL Server that
supports spacial data out of the box, it wont be long before other
RDBMSs follow suit and with the focus on geo coding and spacial data
within web 2.0, this is a very important subject at the moment.

Not only that, but with talk of putting RFID chips in everything from
suitcases to wheelie bins these days, its systems like this that will be
used to make use of the data generated.

Anyway, if you fancy it, its Wednesday night (February 20) in the Queen
Mother Building, Dundee University, 7pm for a 7:30 kick off. The talk
will last around an hour with questions and answers afterwards and then
to a local pub for a well earned pint. :-)

Hope to see some of you there.
