Hi Gordon,

I am using pciback (PCI forwarding) fine. I think the usb= option is only for HVM guests, though I could be wrong.

If you need a hand with pciback let me know.

Regards,

Subject: [dundee] USB in Xen Guest

I have a problem in trying to get USB e.g. flash media to be picked up in a Centos 5.2 Xen guest. I have amended my guest configuration file in /etc/xen to read:

usb=1
# find vid and pid with lsusb
usb="host:vid:pid"

I couldn't pick up anything in the Xen guest, other people has had the same problems. Whilst I have mapped my dvdrom drive from the physical drive to the Xen guest so I can do data transfer no problem via removable media, I would still like to use my USB flash drive working in a Xen guest. Other methods such as PCI forwarding is unstable or does't work for others. Does anyone know of a reliable method (that works) for using USB in a Xen guest.

Gordon
