For the academic minded here are the technical papers published for Akademy
2009 (KDE) in a joint conference with Gnome, held recently in Gran Canaria.
I will post the videos from this conference when they become available.

Since it was the 40th anniversary of the first time that man landed on the
moon last week I thought I would give you all some articles on this subject.
This is how the software for Apollo 11 was built and tested:

The Apollo 11 command module code is released to open source to commemorate
the 40th anniversary, sadly I haven't found any second-hand Saturn V rockets
on Ebay yet:

This is an article about NASA and open source:

Last week an Australian astronomer, Anthony Wesley, captured pictures of
Jupiter where a mark on its surface (approximately the size of Earth)
suggested a hit from a Comet or Asteroid. Anthony uses open source software
for his telescope picture captures (O.S. - Fedora 10 ):

Anyway, this week my wife and I will be on holiday, so I am just letting
the relevant people know that I will not be attending this week's meeting on
Thursday.
