Good morning everyone,

I'm sorry this email is alot latter than normal but between work and flu I've out of action the last week.

It's coming to that time of year when students are finishing exams packing up for a summer of real meals and a house that cleans its self, but for the rest of us it's business as usual.

Our next talk is being held as normal this Thursday (17th of May) at the Burgh Coffee house at six thirty (18:30). Our own Kris 'azomie' Finlay will be talking about Software Development and Server Management using Python. So if you run a server for business, pleasure or just because your inner Tux want let you not this is the talk to come to.

As normal we will be heading to the counting house for our post talk debates so if you can make the meeting come along to that, and if you've not been to any meetings in a while come along now. We will be running meetings all summer, despite the student absence, and we look forward to seeing some old faces again.

Abstract :-
Many of us Running Linux on desktops , web servers, file servers as
well as other devices.
Generally we managing these desktops and servers via scripts either
locally or remotely via ssh.
Such as backing up files or updating software. This can be rather laborious
to manage multiple
machines especially if there on different networks.
This talk will introduce you to a solution I have been using in both my
personnel life and production.
The first tool in my arsenal is Fabric (fabfile.org) is a python library
and command-line tool for
streamlining the use of SSH for application deployment or systems
administration tasks.
Secondly Cuisine is a small set of functions that sit on top of Fabric, to
abstract common administration
operations making it easier to write portable administration and deployment
scripts.
The last tool is Watchdog a python API library and
shell utilities to monitor file system events.
 See You all there.
