i suppose this email qualifies as the "etc" since i make no mention of the cross box.

hehe, i like the how i broke idea.

how i broke my linux moral...
mouse, monitor and printer... one of these not working will make a dent in your linux conversion moral, but once you've been through the monitor and mouse then got it sorted, if you find your printer is insufficiently supported when your printer is the crux of your activities.... my linux moral broke.
so... how did i fix my linux moral.....
two things really....
1) where did i go when my linux moral was low? windows. enough said about that hard place. i think i prefered the rock.
2) hey... my printer not being fully supported didnt last long. :)
(though i was sitting there for months without knowing better support had been made available)

On 08/12/2007, Nistur <
particular filesystem checking? For some reason when I try booting
Archlinux on my XBox it fails with the following error:
http://pastebin.archlinux.org/20480 I tried running fsck from the
liveCD and it passed with no errors ($?=1) I also checked what it said,
and changed the "magic number" although I changed it to 32768 as I
believe I have 4k blocks... but anyway, that gave a huge list of errors
and asked if I wanted them fixed, one at a time, I obviously said yes
and rebooted and I got the same error. Booting the liveCD again and
running e2fsck -b 32768 gave exactly the same errors, again fix to all,
then check again and it gives the same errors again...
I checked the sparse file I installed Arch to and copied from and I got
the same errors... but again fixing doesn't fix... I don't know if this
is a problem with the specific version of e2fsck I have, the xbox or what...

after asking on IRC for a bit I found that the XBox does not, infact
have a partition table at all, well, until you install xebian that is.
The partitions are implicit as every xbox is imaged with the same
partitions. This, for some reason, gives the "XBox" partitions C through
G, hda50, hda51 hda52.. and xebian writes a partition table, setting the
/ partition to hda2 and swap to hda1. I don't know if this is anything
to do with anything but I though it worth mentioning, just in case.

So, any ideas?

Nistur

Arron M Finnon wrote:
> Hi Nistur,
>
> Just some friendly banter you ken what i'm like. But in fairness that

The language is not Narn, or Human, or Centauri, or Gaim or Minbari. It speaks in the language of hope; It speaks in the language of trust; It speaks in the language of strength, and the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul. But always, it is the same voice. It is the voice of our ancestors, speaking through us, And the voice of our inheritors, waiting to be born. It is the small, still voice that says: We are one. No matter the blood; skin; world; star; We are one. No matter the pain; darkness; loss; fear; We are one. Here, gathered together in common cause. we agree to recognise this singular truth, and this singular rule: That we must be kind to one another, because each voice enriches us and ennobles us, and each voice lost diminishes us. We are the voice of the Universe, the soul of creation, the fire that will light the way to a better future. We are one.
