A new government data site, under the direction of world wide web founder Sir Tim Berners-Lee, has been launched this morning that provides a repository for NHS figures, crime data, environmental studies etc. This is the policy of opening up government data to the public. You will probably find that there will be slow loading times due to heavy first day demand and I must point out that some of the statistical data will not be provided free, the UK Government will want royalties on some of the most important data to reduce the public debt. <br>
