That sounds like a brilliant idea. If more people want to do it I'm happy for the society to cover funds.

I know they maybe plans for the next meeting but i thought about
floating an idea before the SFD madness starts. Maybe having a social
that doesn't start and end in the pub would be a good idea. Something
that isn't actually tech related.

To that note i spoke to my friend who is a historian, and has set up a
local historic tour of Dundee (I know this sounds strange but bare
with me). He's offered to take the Linux Society members and guest
on his tour. Dundee has loads of history, and i have been on one of
his tours before which i found to be really interesting.

So my suggestion how about we go on the historic tour, and finish of
having a pint afterwards and then we can start chatting about SFD.

He's offered to do the tour on a "pay what you think its worth" (free
software spirit or what) deal, but i suggest maybe £3 per head or
something. Maybe the society could make a donation,

Anyway its an idea, he's happy to do it at any time but he is free the
Thursday or the meeting.

If a couple of us would like to do it i'll get it sorted out
