You may recall, (last November) ..

"For me, being a novice, I've got a small problem:
Two PCs one 1800+ Athlon, one 1600+ Acer Laptop..."

Situation the same. Except..
I upgraded the kernel on the Acer to 2.4.20 in an attempt to get
the ACPI recognised. (It is, but some problems, yet).
The main problem has arisen when attempting to compile
"myprog".
The 1800 Athlon is still OK but the Acer now comes up with the
message:
cc1plus: warning: changing search order for system directory
"/usr/local/include"
cc1plus: warning: as it has already been specified as a non-system directory
...
and then I get compiler errors because (I think) that -make- is looking in
the wrong place for the include files.
Both the PCs look *very* similar *except* that the Athlon has *.h files in
/usr/include/g++-v3/ and the Acer hasn't, i.e Acer has '98+ versions only.
"OK. I thought, change the includes to the 1998 versions".
No change.
I've spent two days searching the 'net without significant help.

If someone, (please), knows where -make- is getting it's search path from
or why I'm getting this error let me know where to begin

Peter
