Who is the monster here? :-)

More seriously, the memory footprint of bash is 2712Kb (1608Kb resident)
while perl is 3180Kb (1524Kb resident).

I am merely pointing out that if you like being able to do a lot with a few
lines of code, then you will probably *really* like perl!
