Have you considered CENTOS ( http://www.centos.org ), its basically Red 
Hat enterprise version built from the srpms, it covers many cpu types 
and unlike the fedora cores it is very stable.  I found fc3 very 
unstable and needed a lot of reboots, fc4 is much much better but still 
no match for a tried and tested RH enterprise edition.  Of course the 
best bit is, its free.
