on my old laptop running Debian testing, using this line that I pasted from the examples on the somagic-capture man page:

somagic-capture | mplayer -vf yadif,screenshot -demuxer rawvideo -rawvideo "pal:format=uyvy:fps=25" -aspect 4:3 -

Cool. Can I do any more? Stream or save? It seems that the only way I can view anything from the device is by running the somagic-capture command. There is no /dev/video device, and any attempts with vlc have been fruitless. Can I pipe the mplayer command into ffmpeg? Tried a couple of tests but no joy so far.

It's quite frustrating finally getting video on screen and then not being able to do anything with it.

Dougie
