You can execute "SELECT @@GLOBAL.sql_mode;" from a mysql prompt on
the macbook we were working on to prove that it's set globally...<br>

Interestingly, there is an sql_mode you can set -
ALLOW_INVALID_DATES - which would have allowed your 31st November
dates ;-)<br>

there's some unique config change on last night's macbook.</div>
