[Falkirk] Raspberry Pi Jam at Forth Valley College, Falkirk: Help request

Hello there,

For those who couldn't make it to last nights excellent talk from James
Baster on OpenTechCalendar and therefore missed my plea!

I'm a first year HND Software Development student at Falkirk College, where
I'm organising a Raspberry Pi Jam aimed at 7 to 12 year olds. It's on
Monday 16th June, from 9.30 a.m (captive audience of kids, but awkward for
grown-ups, sorry!). We're hoping we'll get lots of kids through the doors,
and we've already got the support of Falkirk Council's IT Curriculum
Development officer to drum up support.

What we need now is demonstrators with fun and interesting Pi projects,
relevant for the age group, to show off and let the kids tinker with. We've
got a couple of teams of students and lecturers lined up with projects, but
we're aiming to have as many stands as possible around the edge of the
(pretty big!) hall.

If you have a Pi and are able to come along to promote FOSS in particular
and engaging, useful early IT education in general, then do please get in
touch through adminstrator at falkirkpijam.co.uk. If you can't come along but
want to help out in any other way (hardware, constructive advice, contacts
etc...), I'd love to hear from you, too.

Thanks for your time, and hopefully speak soon!

Neil Paterson.
