Boot DeMuDi Live CD=20 2. Open a Konsole (Alt+F2, konsole) or click on the "Terminal-Icon with t= he=20 Shell"=20 3. Type: "sudo knoppix-installer"=20 4. Configure the installation, as best use debian mode for now (as most o= f=20 you won't be complete newbies to linux)=20 - Please choose the install to mbr (if there goes something wrong, ther= e=20 will be a backup of the old mbr in the new installed system in /boot/)=20 Just choose partition if you already have another bootmanager that is=20 capable of booting other partitions. The created bootdisk will _not_ work= ,=20 sorry that can be more easily solved by a new DeMuDi Live CD Release, so = I=20 did not concentrate on that.=20 =20 5. Do the installation=20 6. Finish it.=20 =20 Important now, else the system won't work:=20 =20 7. Download http://debian.tu-bs.de/knoppix/installer/demudi/fix-demudi.sh= =20 8. chmod a+x fix-demudi.sh=20 9. sudo ./fix-demudi.sh=20 =20 Look at messages from LILO it should be like:=20 =20 Added Linux *=20 Added Win=20 =20 Then you have to again reset the user and root-passwords.=20 =20 10. Reboot into your system=20 =20 11. Just in case: (If you cannot login in kdm (e.g. just get a banlnk=20 screen then are logged off again), choose kde as sessions, but this bug=20 should also now be fixed by the above script.)=20 =20 Ok, thats it.=20 =20 Hopefully I didn't forget anything.=20 =20 If you have any questions / problems feel free to mail me.=20 =20 I'll then try to sort them out, but as I also have some other stuff to do= =20 and need some sleep well...=20 =20 cu=20 =20 Fabian=20 --=20 NEU : GMX Internet.FreeDSL Ab sofort DSL-Tarif ohne Grundgeb=FChr: http://www.gmx.net/dsl _______________________________________________ Users mailing list Users@lists.agnula.org http://lists.agnula.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/users ]
