I'm a new member of the mailing list, hello to you all. :-)

I'm currently setting up an IT consultancy (linux based) local to Street and Glasto based at Unit D2 Northover buildings (Bridies Yard?).

I'm mostly a hardware builder/fixer and OS installer, mostly the serversidenetwork end of things and started out with Xerox system V and Red Hat 4.

I now specialise in building Centos server and Fedora enduser systems, and am happy to help anyone where I can with anything. I 'm not a programmer tho, in any sense of the word.....

I'm not an officy type either , and seem happier in the back room setting up rack systems. ....lol...

I'd be happy to assist with the subject below if needed, where I can, as I could do with some actual real work in the area.

I have some experience with security issues, haha....

However my main purpose here is to say "hia" and introduce myself and meet up with other linux pepes in the area.

looking forward to meeting up with you all at some point, and coming to the user group meetings, I can make a good cuppa.!

Regards to you all

>I've had a request for recommendations for local IT firms capable of
>helping an organization revamp and improve their network security.
>It's mostly Windows, some Mac, hence the OT tag, but I figured folks
>on this list would have some exposure to capable local IT
>consultancies/integrators. Suggestions?

>Thanks,
>Ian
