hello everyone, sorry about the egregious cross-posting :/

at tech_2 i met donna from genderchangers in amsterdam. they run
peer-training workshops in hardware and sysadmin which are women-only.
there's a little info at http://www.genderchangers.org/

i'd be very interested in setting up / helping run something like this in
london. i think it could cover at least basically
	- Hardware
	- Networking/Security
	- Operating Systems
	- Application Development
with a predominant open-source bias.

if you know of something like this already going on, or if you are
interested in teaching in, learning in or providing resources
to this sort of setup, or know someone that would be, consider dropping a
mail to bender at state51.co.uk (or to this from address, but let's not be
spamming lists ;) )

i really don't want to get into the ethical/discrimination debate at this
point, just gauge interest. i'm thinking short-term effort, counteract the
prevailing cultural forces, and future generations of the workshops could
be totally inclusive. personally i know little about hardware and could
teach other things to intermediate level.

that address again is bender at state51.co.uk

we now return you to your scheduled pony.
