[Gllug] text IM clients.

What text mode IM clients do people recommend?  I let my flatmates use my
P75, but its VGA monitor is very underspecced for X-windows. But what they
really want to do is instant messaging, particularly MSN and AOL.  I have
seen things like GAIM, but they seem to be X only, which is no good for
me.  I am fine on Xlibs though, although personally I would prefer text
really , so has they have the authentic Linux experience.  What should I
be using?
