At that, Emacs is hardly perfect even there. If Emacs included some
source-code-in-database stuff and understood the grammars of the
languages you're using and used that to do e.g. go-to-identifier,
syntax highlighting, tagging, and indentation, it would be perfect.

With a little luck the semantic bovinator will end up making that
Holy Grail easier.
