Personally, I'd probably opt into DeadRat 7.2 for ease of install, I have a
compaq laptop which was a complete BASTARD to install, nothing would get the
graphics working at greater than 800x600 on an out of the box install,
DeadRat 7.2 got graphics, sound, everything working with no extra
tweakery.... (needless to say I promptly wiped it and went back to my
home-brew install based on Redhat7.1... but it was a worthwhile test)
