[Gllug] Calculating Bandwidth for Web Radios

Hi all,

Getting a little confused (shocked?) while figuring
out the bandwidth (traffic) usage of my web radio.

Assuming I've got 10 listeners (at any one time) and
the stream is running at 24kbps, how much traffic will
it generate?

The formula I've got so far is terrifying:

10 listeners x 24000 bytes per second x 60 sec x 60
min x 24 hours = 2.074 GB per day (!)

...and that's ten lousy listeners on a low-quality
24kbps stream ;(

Please somebody tell me I'm wrong and it's infact much
less.

MTIA,

Axel
