Take a look at the link at the bottom of every message from the list,
it's there to help.

Not the best way to do it, but it works. I've got a setup just like
that, with the alcatel frog plugged into a debian box running iptables
as the gateway/firewall to/from the Net. Do a quick google for the
benoit drivers, cos they appear to be pretty solid, and have a _far_
better reputation than the alcatel ones. The one you want is the
sourceforge page because it's more up to date.

There should also be a reasonable guide that comes with the download.

Take a look at Rusty's iptables howtos, then. At the back of one of
them is a script that you can take and modify for a handy home
firewall setup.

I'm assuming that you're running a recent distro with the 2.4 kernel?
Do a "uname -a" at the console to find out. It should look a little
like:

sms at lauren:~$ uname -a
Linux lauren 2.4.17 #6 Tue Feb 19 14:19:20 GMT 2002 i686 unknown

The "2.4.17" is the bit your interested in.

Cheers,

Simon
