[Gllug] Unable to access web sites via smoothwall

1st have you had a look through the PDF doc on installation and FAQ?

1.from smoothwall (SW) can you ping www.bbc.co.uk? Meaning logged in from SW console.
2. for the SW admin pages under "services" "external serivce access" make sure tcp 80 is enabled (it should be by default).

Only things I can think of checking at the moment.

I think Smoothwall is a classic on how not to treat newbies, as great as the product is you get treated like poison ivy on the mailing list if you ask a simple question.  And I see they still refuse to archive the list which would make a great resource and cut down on the simple questions so new users would have a resource to look through.
