How does korganizer match up to your expectations? Seems to be
reasonably good when I've used it. TODO lists, calendar, no mail,
etc.

What I'm starting to really hanker for are some sensibly integrated
services. Something like how the address book is integrated into OS
X. If a program needs to make use of a service (such as calendaring)
it simply calls on the component.

Yes, I know that OpenDoc went some way towards doing this, and that
the KParts and CORBA interfaces could do it (in theory), but I've just
not seen it happen yet.

I've got strange dreams of getting an email from a friend or
colleague, with a date in it, so I hightlight the date, or even just
right click on the email, and select "Add new calendar item..." from a
context sensitive menu. This opens up a popup to let me add this one
item to my calendar without opening the rest of the program. Okay,
this is already done in bloat such as evolution, but not in a series
of nominally seperate, but linked, apps. What about if, rather than
reading the email in an full blown email app, I'm using my company's
webmail facility?

Again OS X is a little way along this road, offering "services", but
it's still a far cry from the ease of use that I expect from my PC. I
also suspect that this is why I prefer KDE to GNOME. For me, it just
appears to be slightly better integrated and acts as a more coherant
whole.

Cheers,

Simon
