Is this definitely sendmail, and not just something else with an altered
greeting banner? At http://www.sendmail.org/faq/section4.html#4.19, they
clearly state:-

"Sendmail does not implement any remote access protocols such as POP or
IMAP."

I've been using sendmail for years, and if they've snuck an IMAP server
in there, this is the first I've heard of it.
