Hi, I am trying to install XFree86 Tools in order to manage my fonts. I
downloaded the rpm but it said that a dependency was libXIE.so.6. I
found and downloaded XFree86-libs-4.0.2-4mdk.i586.rpm which contains it.
When I rpm -ivh this:

package XFree86-libs-4.3-5mdk (which is newer than
XFree86-libs-4.0.2-4mdk) is already installed
file /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2 from install of XFree86-libs-4.0.2-4mdk
conflicts with file from package XFree86-libs-4.3-5mdk
etc etc

Does this mean that the newer package doesn't have the libXIE.so.6 that
it says I need? If this is the case, how can I get just that file
without the whole rpm that it will not install as it is old?

Or perhaps there is a mandrake 9.1 alternative to XFree86 Tools?

I'm very new to linux and am confused.
