The DXR3 will give you a much better picture than most tv-out video
card add-ons.  Clear, crisp, rock-solid pictures.  It's also nice when
you're playing MPEG because your computer barely works upa sweat.

I believe mplayer and some ALSA sound drivers these days can do full
hardware sync, but it's been a while since I used my DXR3 card...
