Excuses and more excuses. Is that the best you can do? ;P

$ apt-file search growisofs
dvd+rw-tools: usr/bin/growisofs
..

$ apt-get source dvd+rw-tools
..

$ grep -rin force-luke dvd+rw-tools-5.21.4.10.8/ | less
.. 

a number of places, this one is of interest, growisofs.c, line 66-7:
 * - undocumented -use-the-force-luke flag to overwrite the media
 *   none interactively;

Total duration: 2 minutes, 1.5 of which took writing of this e-mail.

Check your pulse and feelings. You should be upset by now ;) Maybe just
do it the next time then ..
