[Gllug] Ubuntu and me - suggestions requested (polite ones please)

Well, I am happy to solve problems as they arise. Oddly, they do not 
arise with Debian; certainly not at the point of trying to get something 
to install.

I reiterate, with a scenario of two server-class low end new machines, 
Ubuntu 8.10 server failed to install and Debian Etch worked perfectly. 
So I hardly think it's an upstream issue, more a broken installer.

Which do you really think I am going to put into production? Hmm?

(The only issue I have had so far with Etch on server-class hardware was 
with a low-end HP ML115 dual-Opteron, where there were some issues with 
a stock Debian 64bit kernel which we sorted with a kernel build).
