The clue is in the name with Be Unlimited, AFAIK they are actually 
unlimited (apart from the value package). If he's lucky enough to live 
near an exchange he might get up to 2.5Mb/s upload, if he's unlucky 
he'll get 1Mb/s so to back up the whole 180Gb should take anywhere 
between 8.5 and 22 days. Add 20% margin and it's still less than a month 
worst case, just set the most vital stuff backing up first.

On a remote backup note does anyone fancy setting up Crashplan and 
swapping a bit of backup space? I've not tried it yet but I very much 
like the idea. I've got 75GB I'd like to keep backed up more frequently 
than it is now and I could offer a couple of people 100GB each on my 
system which is on fairly often.
