[Gllug] Problems rebuilding a RAID5 array after a failed disc on Centos 5

It's possible that 'rebuild' means 'wipe and redo from scratch' so that
would of wiped the array, is there a repair or reconstruct alternative?

It may be worth while carefully reading the manual etc...
