   Welcome to the hell that is Apple. This will not be seen by any
'nix device until you `jailbreak' it.

  Alternatively, you could try installing your favourite
embedded-Linux distro. Take a look at:

     http://ipodlinuxinstl.sourceforge.net/

Warning: the project might not be currently supported and installing
linux shall certainly void
the warranty.
