Will have to see what samsung say.<br>
It was fine yesterday - just turned off as per normal...<br>
No indication of failure - no smell, no funnies on screen.<br>

Any recommendations for nice new one ?<br>
This one had a good bandwidth, so 1800x1400 was smooth.<br>

thing and replace your monitor (they would have a 1 year parts 1 year labour
warranty on their product and as long as it is a genuine Samsung product they

If when it went splat, you saw everything converging in a bright spot in the
middle of the screen then the news is not good.

Tried unplugging for a while, power out et al. nothing comes on
the screen - not even the menu. I think I will leave it off over night
and see how it is tomorrow.
Tried swapping with an old 15" which I had on xinerama. Cables
and card work fine.
Thing is it was sold out of box - at a discount ! so I am not sure about
warranty. I always seem to loose the paper work ! It is only say 12
months old to me.

I had a similar problem with my Dell 17" monitor, luckily it happen a
month before it's 3 year warranty expired, so Dell gave me a brand new
replacement. I would also test your graphics card with a working monitor.
