<div>Thanks for the info John!</div>

<div>Well, for a bunch of reasons really. I'm using the virtualbox installation for testing purposes mainly.</div>
<div>I wanted to compile my kernel to remember how to do it inthe first place</div>
<div>Secondly debian lenny came with 2.6.24 but there is no kernel-headers package for that version, so I figured I might as well download the latest kernel.</div>
<div>and finally, by compiling the kernel I can make it as small as possible since I will only select what I need.<br><br> </div>
