Apparently DLT drives write a unique code that makes them read-only on
any other drive, according to the drive's tech support person anyway.
Maybe I could overcome this using mt but it would be quite

Does anyone know a place that will be able to bulk erase some DLT tapes?
Have googled around in vain but can't find anywhere that offers this as
a service.
