Linux Users,<br>

on a Linux-Apps-on-iPhone-&-iPad solution, called QMole, for
the last two years.<br>
QMole's intention is twofold: 1) <u>enable graphical Linux
applications on the IOS platform</u> and <br>
2) <u>enable on-iPad development without the need for an Apple
developer account</u>. Given the <br>
massive user base of the IOS platform, this is a potentially big
step for the Linux platform as<br>
a whole. <br>
<br>
This comes against a backdrop of every greater encroachment on
user choice and freedom.<br>
Now a user who has root access to the hardware they legitimately
purchased is deemed to<br>
"jailbreak" suggesting somehow that this is not legitimate. Yet
all the user has done<br>
is what would be a matter of course with any other, non
smartphone, computer platform. <br>
<br>
Linux fought this battle before in a different dimension: with
Windows. <br>
People have taken this victory for granted. Like elsewhere,
freedoms not watched over, erode. <br>
I want to reverse this trend before it is too late --- as the
smartphone takes over from PC.<br>
<br>
That is why I created QMole. I am hoping to unleash a tide of
Linux users and more importantly <br>
developers to descend on the dominant smartphone platform. <br>
