That ran fine, until they decided to deinstall the mouse before installing a new one. After trying to fix that at long distance, things went downhill. So a few days ago they got a copy of SuSE 9.1 personal, and we've been installing that. However, we now can't get the internet connection to work. It's dial-up with Onetel, and I can't debug it from here because it uses CLID and will only respond to calls from their number... So first question - does anyone you know use Onetel, and if so, what is the ppp login prompt and required response? The Onetel website is not, of course, linux-friendly, but looking at the windows setups, there doesn't seem to be anything unusual. I tried to get them to use minicom to debug it, but 9.1 personal doesn't come with a copy of minicom! And they can't download because.... Final question - could anyone pop round and do them a favour by setting it up? I'm sure they would be willing to show their gratitude. cheers anthony -- anthony winter anthony@sayne.org mobile (from UK) 0064 211 865562 (in NZ) 0211 865562 ]
