It was a fairly quiet meeting last night. There were five of us there
for a while including a new face whose name I didn't catch.

I noted a few things that we discussed on my blog http://www.bagofspoons.net

We had a few laptops running various distros (and maybe a bit of W*nd*ws).

The usual subject of getting more people involved came up again. One
option is to have regular 'virtual' meetings. We already have our IRC
channel (#hertslug on efnet). Perhaps we could schedule a time when
people could meet up there to discuss their current issues, e.g. Sunday
evening.

There are some more up to date technologies that we could try, but might
involve more complicated set-up, e.g. Jabber chatrooms (I'm generally
on-line as steevc at jabber.org) or GnomeMeeting that can handle video/voice.

In any case I think we should have some sort of on-line presence during
meetings (maybe even a webcam) so that people who cannot get there can
join in to some extent.
